Do I receive treatment at my first consultation?
Most first consultations with your Osteopath will include some degree of assessment and explorative or diagnostic treatment to help map out how subsequent sessions may proceed and to help manage your most acute symptoms. In some complex cases or very complicated medical histories, assessment and treatment may need to continue into another session. For new patients, a full consultation with the associated medical screening and history taking is always required.

Depending on the complexity
Depending on the complexity of your consultation and initial assessments, we can not guarantee that there will be a significant degree of treatment performed on the same day as your first consultation. However, in most cases we do have time for some preliminary treatment sufficient enough to gauge how we may proceed and what our expected outcomes may be.
New treatment programmes are modelled on the standard Osteopathic and Chiropractic format of first consultations, followed by 'follow-ups' for treatment.
